Lennons is in a truly fabulous position if one wants to shop or do business in Brisbane. Its totally in the heart of the CBD, minutes from cafe/ restaurants/ shops and the Casino. Its approx 10-15 minute walk to the waterfront. The best tip I could give regarding this hotel is to just book rooms 707 - 711. They all have direct access to the swimming pool and have the added bonus of having a separate patio/ courtyard which is very private. All other hotel rooms do not have balconies or courtyards. Room 707 is the best. The hotel needs a major revamp but offers very good value for its position. There is one restaurant on the ground floor which serves breakfast and lunch. We ordered breakfast in our room and it was on time and actually better than I excepted. Our room 711 was comfortable with a queen size bed, working desk with broadband, mini bar, small settee, TV, and doors leading to a fab small courtyard with table and chairs overlooking the pool. This room would be great in summer. I have given this hotel 4 stars for its position.
Unique Qualities: This hotel as stated before is in ideal position if you want to be in the heart of the CBD. Personally , I would only stay here again if I had the 7th floor pool rooms.

The Sebel is situated on the corner of Charlotte and Albert Street just minutes from the heart of the CBD. Our apartment 2102 was located on the 20th floor and had views of the city skyline. The apartment consisted of a lounge room with small couch and chairs, coffee table, and TV, which opened up to a small balcony, off the lounge room was a very well planned compact kitchen with a mini bar, stove, microwave and washing machine. The bedroom was normal hotel standard size with wardrobe and side tables. Coffee and tea facilities were available as well as broadband internet connection. The bathroom was on the small size. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and allowed us to keep our bags stored at the hotel whilst we spent the weekend at Moreton Island, even though we were staying elsewhere on our return. (5 star for this gesture). The outdoor swimming pool is located on the third floor next to the convention rooms, which is a slight put-off if just wanting to have a quick swim. The pool is a small lap pool with a spa connected, but overall it was lovely being able to sit outdoors by the pool. I have stayed a numerous hotels and apartments in Brisbane and frankly, I do not think you can go past the Quay West Apartments for their views and location. You have problems with heights then I suggest you get a room on a lower floor. I found it difficult standing on the small balcony …vertigo plus…the other negative with our room was we looked directly onto another apartment block, and you could see everything happening next door. I had to keep our blinds closed in the bedroom for privacy. I suggest you ask for Charlotte Street CBD rooms.
Unique Qualities: Overall, this hotel is in a fab position if you just want to be close to CBD and shops. The staff actually makes you feel very welcomed and is a credit to this establishment. I probably would not stay here again, as I prefer other hotels in Brisbane but if you were looking for an apartment then this hotel would suit you.

The Quay West Apartments. – Brisbane. Beautifully positioned within walking distance to the heart of the city,Eagle Street Waterfront, cafes and restaurants. Our room 604 looks directly across the Botanical Gardens with sweeping views of the large lily pond and gorgeous assortment of trees. The apartment is spacious with a fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and tea/ coffee facilities. Mini bar is also included with a good selection of beers and wine. The lounge/ dining area is reasonably sized with a mix match of furniture which doesn’t really blend with anything, TV and CD player. A spacious balcony which also leads into the bedroom. The bathroom is small and slightly old fashioned, it could do with an upgrade. Bedroom is spacious with comfortable bed and fluffy pillows with a separate TV. The laundry is situated off the hallway and has washing machine/clothes dryer/ironing board and iron. Pros: Excellent position with lovely views, large open apartment with spacious balcony. Internet connection, laundry service, free car parking, lovely shallow swimming pool with spa ,gym and sauna. Friendly staff and quick check in service.
Unique Qualities: Recommendation: Yes, if you’re a space freak , as apartments are very comfortable and spacious., on our floor there are only 6 apartments. Would certainly suit families or travellers staying in Brisbane for more than a short stay.

Book river view room as its only $20.00 more than a standard room. The view is terrific overlooking Brisbane skyline and river. The room is spacious but could do with a fresh modern uplift. Renovations were happening so maybe rooms will be next. The room has all modern cons with fridge, Tv, small kitchen and internet connection. The bathroom is small and also could do with an uplift. Staff friendly and efficient. Position great as its a walk across the footbridge to the city (10 mins) but you can enjoy Southbank and the gardens. I have stayed here a few times and prefer this hotel to others, mainly because of the views and the parklands across the road. Great value for money.

Location – The Conrad is situated in the heart of Brisbane a two minute walk to Queen Street Mall the main shopping/ business area. It’s a short walk across a park to the Casino. It’s approximately 20 minutes from the domestic and international airports. Check in- All staff members were fantastic and showed a high level of efficiency. Our car was also parked for us and we were in our room within 5 minutes. Room – Our room 124 an executive suite was beautifully decorated and enormous, with stunning tall ceilings and high glass windows (locked). A lounge suite, working desk, mini bar, TV cabinet, CD player and a lovely king size bed. It was my husband’s birthday and he was given a lovely platter of cheese and fruit and a “Happy Birthday” card which we thought to be extremely sweet. The only negative, we couldn’t open the windows to get to the large balcony attached to the room. Bathroom – The bathroom was very spacious and luxurious, with a separate bath tub and walk-in shower. Fluffy towels and bathrobes were also supplied. Room Service – Fast and efficient. Restaurants – We had dinner at the Casino in the Marco Polo Restaurant which we found to offer an excellent menu and wine list. The food was also of the highest quality. There are numerous other bars and restaurants located in the hotel and within the casino. Breakfast – The breakfast room was located on the lobby floor in the Lab Bar, and offered an a la carte menu (no buffet) which we do prefer. However, the service was fabulous and the breakfast terrific. Business Centre- there is a small office on the ground floor next door to the reception which offered internet service with a printer attached.
Unique Qualities: Overall – We had a lovely stay at Conrad’s and my husband enjoyed his birthday surprise, especially being able to play blackjack next door at the casino. I highly recommend this hotel if looking for 5 star accommodation and service in the heart of Brisbane. Negative – none except there is no swimming pool which I particularly like to have especially in the summer months.
