    • Be prepared to see many Temples and the Monks who study there. Malaysia is officially a Muslim country, however. The Muslim influence is seen in the larger city areas like KL.

    As far as we could tell, there does not seem to be any conflict between the Buddhists and Muslims, Christianity is not very large, certainly not out in the country.

    • Shopping here is not the same as Hong Kong or Singapore. This is for real, many little vendors all the way around the block, with hope in their hearts and not a great deal more.

    Try to find a reason to buy something when you walk by. Let them overcharge you a little, won't hurt.
