    • The problem with visiting a new city and not having local knowledge is that you tend to rely on guide books for nightlife. We did in San Fran and luckily found some great places. Harry Dentons is a good club. The Starlight roof on Powell street at the Sir Frances Drake hotel has fantastic views of the city and is full of a more upper class crowd. The Mission is a great area to go out, packed with bars/clubs. 'Butter' was the only bar i distrinctly remember, full of a young trendy crowd with the beer flowing!Another great club is Polly Esthers on a Friday night. Its an 80's night with a great atmosphere!
