Things To Do: Loads
  • Tip Rating:
  • There is so much to do in San Fran!!!! :

Alcatraz - one of the big attractions. Get a boat from fishermans wharf to 'The Rock'. It takes a good half day to get around. You can buy a tape to listen to as you walk around to guide you around. The island offers great views of the city and bridge too. A must on any itinerary! Costs about 12 bucks including the audio tour! boats leave every half hour.

Golden Gate bridge - You have to drive across the bridge at least once when in San Fran! Totally awesome!

Union Square - great for shopping, the centre point of the city. also great to just people watch!

Fishermans Wharf - great for tourists. Go see the seals, catch a boat around the harbour or to Alcatraz. Pier 39 is the focal point with shops, restaurants etc.

Chinatown - one of the largest outside China. Fantastic culture and food.

Lombard Street - claiming to be the windiest street in the world. Take a taxi down it to be a complete tourist. Look at the million dollar houses along the street.
