"So much to see in such a small space" Israel by littlebush

I was blown away by Israel.
I visited for a week in Sept 2011, which wasnt enough and i didnt see half of what i'd hoped so i will have to go back one day.

It has everything i look for in a break - culture, history (of which there is thousands of years), politics, food, drink, sight seeing, cities, beaches, hot weather. The only let down was that it was more expensive than i'd hoped.

In the week i was there, i visited:
-Eilat-beach resort - not very nice beach. HOT!, good location for trip to Petra.
-Petra-i did a one day tour, which was 12 hours door to door with about 3.5 hours at Petra. i had read that you need to 2 days in Petra but for me this tour was long enough, however it proved much more expensive than if you did it off your own back.
-Masada-the 1 hour walk up the mountain for sunrise is worth it.
-Dead sea-doesnt need no introduction and is a strange feeling to just float!
-Jerusalem-amazing city - east meets west, old meets new - fascinating history, great panaromas, good food, nightlife, incredible old town and a real cultural experience.
-Abu Ghosh-small town ouside of Jerusalem
-Tel Aviv - a great city completely different to Jeruslaem, with fine 6km of beaches, great food and drink and a buzzing nightlife.

Overall, i loved it and it was better than expectations.
I would love to have gone into the West bank but an error by getting on the wrong bus ruined this! also to go to the north, but that will all have to be done next time.
