Portoroz is a popular destination with Slovenians and also with a lot of Italians who cross the border for a cheap weekend. It is a big holiday resort type town with cafes, restaurants, hotels and a few bars. There isnt a beach as such, mainly rocks but the water is clear and refreshing. A 3km walk up the road is Piran, a small old town which is definately worth the visit. You can climb a bell tower here and chill out in the main square. Theres also a nudist beach if you wanna have a perv!
