Within the Husavik area are some the Icelands best attractions, and it is a very popular part of the country. Husavik itself is a lovely little town with all the amenities you'd need. I stayed here for 3 nights and used it as a base to explore the whole of the north east. Husavik is famous for its whale watching, one of the best places in the world to do it. But within the region are other places of interest including Lake Myvatn and the surrounding volcanic activity, Jokulsargljufur national park, and also Akureyri. You'll need a good 3/4 full days in this area.

I enjoyed your Husavik page. We are going to Iceland in July and will be staying at Kaldboks Kot cottages. It was neat to see them on your page!! :-)
