Pretty Florence

by littlebush - last update: Jul 7, 2004

I popped across to Florence on a day trip from London to Pisa. Its just an hour by train from Pisa and worth the trip. The architecture is very nice and the duomo in the piazza duomo is very impressive, although less impressive once inside. We done a bus tour as we were short on time, 20 euro for a hop on hop off ride stopping at 15 places of interest. The best stop was Michaelangelo's square where we got out and took some fantastic views of the city. We also stopped at Piazza san marco which wasnt so interesting down by the river the city looks very pretty and head to ponte vecchio the bridge with all the jewellery stores! just walking around is very nice too. we went in the chequers inn for a nice but expensive hot chocolate but it wasnt very cozy in there.
