Port Hedland is a big town, probably the biggest between Darwin and Perth but theres nothing really there, its a bit of a dive. Its a big port and very industrial. The pubs are abit rough, theres not much do to, just pass through if you happen to get here! South Hedland is nearby and thats crap too!

Port Hedland backpackers is ok, they do a free bbq, and show videos and have a nice patio area to chill out. more travel advice
