Incredible! The best service I've ever had and EVERYONE was friendly. It is very far from most night life, so it's best for a family who doesn't want to leave or romantic getaway where you want to be left alone. What surprised me the most was how great the food was and it was also resonable considering they really have you captive away from other restaurants. Could we have eaten cheaper if we hopped in a cab? Sure, but prices weren't outrageous like most Marriotts and most of all it was EXCELLENT food. The Steak and Seafood restaurant was the only one that I thought was horribly overpriced for what you get, but the others, especially The Deli and Gin ja the Thai restaurant were fair. Don't spend the money on an ocean view room unless you're getting a suite, as the standard ocean view rooms are far from the ocean and you can barely see it (see photo), plus you have to add a flight of stairs to everywhere you go. I would request a bottom floor room as they are so convenient for pool and beach visits. Or 2nd floor which is the level of the lobby...you won't see the ocean from these rooms, but you will see a lot of garden. I didn't see one room that had a bad view.
Don't miss the cooking class! A real winner and totally worth the price as you get lots of goodies and an amazing meal with it. The spa is expensive BUT I wouldn't have traded the experience, especially if you are into ambiance. The most beautiful rooms I've ever seen in a spa...and I've been to a lot.
