I came here from Paris by train in the middle of 1990s. I was working for UNESCO in Paris at that period.
This was my second visit and i found the city less lively than before. It may be because it was not a tourism season. I like to go to places when there are not many people are around - my youngish smile.
In early 2000s, I came here three times from Geneva to attend EU consultation and research meetings but without camera. I did not know even how to use digital camera. Even I did, I had to work almost day and night during these meetings (plus official lunches and dinners) , I had probably not time for sight-seeing.
So, when I come to Brussels next time, it will be a holiday trip and hope to visit other cities in Belgium.
By the way, these photos have been scanned from the pictures taken by my non-digital camera.
Its always nice to visit this city center. It has rich architecture and magnificent old buildings.
20 years later, I came to this town again from Paris but this time just after Christmas. It was a lively and busy square. Things did not change after 20 years but I grew older chronologically (but not psychologically!).
I just missed Christmas here but it must have been an lively and exciting place.

I believe, you can see more better all the sightseeings outside the season
It's a while since I've been to that beautiful square ;)
