I flew to Copenhagen and change plane to Funchal, Capital of Madeira Island. It took almost 5 hours. Landing was a thrilling because the runway seems a small stretch of land at least from the window of the plane. Can you see the rainbow?

The Atlantic sea is very clean but a little cold to swim. But after while, you get used to the coldness of the sea and start enjoying swimming. The freshness of the blue and deep sea gives one a wonderful feeling of relief and peace. Yes, it was this rough but fresh sea water I enjoyed when I was a small boy in the southernmost village of Japan. The sea was Pacific Ocean, but it is difficult to draw the differences from the Atlantic sea when it comes to the excitement and adventurous feelings they provide.

The sun shines all over the beautiful tropical flowers and plants, and, of course over sun-deprived tourists like me. The view of the Botanic Garden against the background of the shining sea gives such warm and relaxed feeling.
