We went to Shanghai on the night train from Beijing. We got there the morning after and saw a lot of preparations for the World Expo 2010. A lot of work was being done by Shanghai Railway Station and surrounding blocks and it looks like the Shanghainese (Shanghainers?) are excited about this.
Shanghai looks like what I thought the future would look like when I was a young child and the only thing missing was the hover cars hehe but they have the Maglev from the airport so maybe they'll get there.... What I remember the most is the avant-garde skyline, wow.
This is one of the many mascots of the World Expo that we saw. This big one was on East Nanjin Road.
