"Budapest" a Budapest Travel Page by marielexoteria

At the beginning, Budapest wasn't in my list of cities to visit this year but when planning our vacation, Mr. Sweden had the choice of destination and he said he'd like to go there. I wasn't all jazzed up but I told him I'd do the appropriate research and the more I read about Budapest the more I liked what I saw. And Budapest is the reason why I ended up in Virtual Tourist so it was a win-win situation ;)

If I could match any city with any given saying, Budapest would match with "don't judge a book by its cover". Why you might wonder - well, the airport minibus driver took us through some horrible neighborhoods and as we were getting closer to where the fellow travelers were getting off the more horrible it turned out to be. But Budapest grew on me and won a piece of my heart with its beautiful buildings, landscapes and sights.

Two musicians. The first one was sitting and playing this instrument on Vörösmarty tér. One could barely hear what he was playing however.

Now this one was sitting on Váci út and playing lead with the kazoo, rhythm with the guitar, bass drum with the right foot and cymbal with the left at the same time. He played the harmonica instead of the kazoo on some songs. At the time of the picture he was playing the Pink Panther theme song, which happens to be my favorite cartoon.
