"I've always wanted to visit Vienna... " a Vienna Travel Page by marielexoteria

For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to visit Vienna but I can't honestly say why: I can't differentiate Mozart from Strauss or Brahms when I hear a classical music tune, classical music puts me to sleep, I don't really like horses (Spanish riding school), I'm not much of an art or architecture connoisseur...I think that it all started when I saw a cartoon of "Hansel and Gretel" by the Brothers Grimm (who aren't Austrian but German!!!!) and I pictured that the houses in Vienna would have a certain design (that I then saw in Denmark!) that I relate to the fairy tale (see the picture below)...I don't know. The good thing is that I visited one of my dream cities.

...thanks to my wild imagination while reading Hansel and Gretel. I either thought that the houses looked as colorful and picturesque as on the picture on the bottom, or that they all had the brown stripes on the picture at the top, or both.
