I was nervous and not knowing what to expect.

Sure, I have been communicating with some of the attendees and we even clicked on a personal level before meeting them in person but I was still nervous. "Will they like me now that they've met me?" "What will they think of me?" and to make matters a bit worse I was pushed by some punks and scraped an old scar so I did feel...like if I was gonna be scrutinized. I was very, very aware of me and had a lot of feelings. PLUS, it was the first time I traveled solo to a place where I'm not staying with anybody and where I didn't really know anybody. In short, I was n-e-r-v-o-u-s and wasn't afraid to show it.

Prior to this meet, I had 2 private meets in Reykjavik and Vienna but I couldn't count to be their shadows.

Then I started to loosen up the moment the airport shuttle bus driver flirted with me. "I still got it", then I got help buying the ticket to Cascais by another guy (without me asking, gotta love that) and off I went...I loosened up with VT'ers mickybleck, jonkb and the rest is history.

At this point I'm not sure if I wanna make some tips, but I'll be happy to help if anyone has questions.

I'm sure I know very little of the VT members - I mean, we have over 1 million people, and yet Jon I remember thanks to a comment I saw on a common VT friend we have. I mentioned him that I left him a comment a LONG time ago, in response to the comment he left her. He was like "o-kay" and unfortunately I couldn't find the original comment because I later on left him a happy birthday message. (I'm good at remembering something most call "useless trivia".)

BUT he's now my official Norwegian viking. Move away, Harket ;)
