Without a doubt, best ribs I've had so far. American style restaurant Tony Roma's is definitely worth a visit.

    Favorite Dish: Ribs!

Beef Place: expensive but oh so worth it

  • Restaurant Name: Beef Place

The restaurant isn't that easy to find because in Madrid the streets don't have ALL the street numbers visible. It took us about 15 mins to find it even tho we were on the right street! However, the food was great and that made up for it.

The 2 bad things I can say about this place is that they charge you for a bread basket they put on the table without we ordering it and that they charge for the sauce to accompany the steaks.

Favorite Dish: Again, ribs. However, the beef steaks are a must (according to Mr. Sweden).

Fast food with a Spanish touch. Try some ham and chicken croquetas for starters, then have some pasta or maybe something from their grill.

On our way to dinner at Tony Roma's we wanted to have something cold because it was hot and after walking...well you know the drill. We saw Häagen Dazs and were sold by the flavors they had. Mr. Sweden had a 2-ball ice cream and I had a one of their Summer Drinks, a Cold Summer: a drink made of lemon sorbet (not too solid to be drank) and orange juice with ice and a ball of lemon sorbet (see picture).

Enjoyed reading your Madrid page - Memories of places I've visited, and those that I need to visit. Like you, Madrid wasn't high on my 'Must See list' but went there in 2007/8 as Springsteen was playing there. Hope to be back one day Best Wishes, Sue
