Bugibba is a purpose built holiday resort, mainly aimed at British package tourists but obviously attracting other nationalities too. That doesn't make it a bad place - OK, it has no "history" but it was a friendly and pleasant place to stay, and it's quite easy to get out and about to the rest of the Island. It's a little remote from places like Marsaxlokk, but we managed to see all that we wanted to by bus. |
| | I've not got an awful lot to say about Bugibba. It was where we stayed while we were in Malta but we went out every day to other places around the Island. We did spend a few evenings around Bugibba and its near neighbour Qawra and tried a few of the restaurants & bars. It's quite a nice place - I certainly have no complaints about it. It has no sandy beaches, but there are plenty of rocky spots and lidos. The cafes, bars, restaurants & beachside kiosks are pleasant & friendly places. The nightlife (such as it had) was not "crazy" like Paceville down the coast, and would not be intimidating to older people or children. I'll give a little information in these tips. |
