There's a Dwejra on Malta too, in fact quite a few places exist on Gozo and on Malta which makes picking the correct location a bit tricky. Anyway, Dwejra on Gozo is a point at the western side of the island. Here are a variety of natural wonders, namely The Azure Window, The Inland Sea and Fungus Rock (pictured here). It's quite a remote location, the area becoming more and more rural as you drive westwards and the towns and villages becoming smaller and more sparse. You could arrive at Dwejra and find yourself just about the only person there, or (if you're unlucky) there could be several coach parties in. We were lucky, we almost had the place to ourselves. |
