There are three bays with sandy beaches close to Ghajn Tuffieha. One is Ghajn Tuffieha itself, pictured here, but our favourite was Golden Bay, next door (to the right as you look here).
Our guide book said that Ghajn Tuffieha was the nicest because it was quieter and more "unspoilt". We found it to be dirtier (more weed & debris on the shore) and yes, more unspoilt which meant no cafes and no toilets. Less than ideal for a whole day at the beach.
