    • The feast day for Gharb parish church is 31st May but the outdoor festivities are held on the first weekend of July, which was when we visited.
    The streets are decorated with bunting, hangings and figures of religious icons.

    • Festas always brighten up a town or village but I hink the colours used at Gharb were the nicest I'd seen. Certainly against the type of houses and other buildings in the village (and especilly the square) it made a very wonderful scene. If we go again next year I think i will try to be in Gharb on festa day, I'd like to see it at night too.
