Gzira

by steventilly - last update: Jul 17, 2004

Gzira is the next town/city/community along from Sliema. Along here all of the comminities run into one and it's difficult to spot where one starts and the other ends.
Our hotel was actually in Gzira, depsite being advertised as being in Sleima. No problem though, at the Sleima end Gzira is indistinguishable, but further around, on the way to Ta' Xbiex, it becomes a little more run-down and not so touristy. Still no bad thing though, it's a bit quieter on an evening than being further up into Sleima (still only 5 minutes walk away) and you still get the great views across the habour.

Pros:"Close To Sleima and All It's Facilities, Quiet"
Cons:"Is A Little Shabby The Further You Get From Sleima"

nice page.as you said, fishing is more of a pastime here. A small thing Sliema is spelled this way,not Sleima :)

I'll try the coffee tip - our last coffee and cake was in bookbites!
