Hull is a great place to spend a weekend, especially when it's a bank holiday weekend. The bars and clubs around the marina area are alive with people out partying - and this starts the minute the pubs open! Other than that, it's fairly good for shopping, eating and as a centre for exploring the environs, such as the coast (Flambrough, Bempton, etc.) and the magnificent Minster town of Beverley. Just over the Humber Bridge you'll find the delights of Lincolnshire, with lovely old towns such as Louth and Gainsborough, as well as the magnificent and ancient Cathedral city of Lincoln itself. In addition to all of this, Hull is a ferry port with daily connections to Zeebrugge in Belgium and Rotterdam in Holland. |
