Travel Inn: Quality & Value

Typical Travel Inn - good sized "family" room (2 adults & 2 kids) with bathroom, TV and Tea & Coffee making facilities.

Unique Qualities: All-in room price of 40 or so pounds per night (breakfast extra) and the rooms are always of the same good standard. "You know what you're getting" and they never disappoint us.
Our only "grumble" is that it's a bit away from the rest of the Leith redevelopment (it's at Newhaven) so it was a nice brisk walk on the way out and a short bus ride back at the end of the night.

Holiday Inn Express: A Bit More Quality, A Bit More Money

Similar quality and style to the Travel Inn except that they include breakfast in with the price. This is usually a buffet "continental" breakfast, rather than the "full english" affair. Still, you get to have cakes for breakfast, which is always good in my book!
No baths though, just a shower in the rooms (and I love a good soak).

Unique Qualities: Consistent quality of room.
Rooms are around 60 pounds per night (including breakfast), sometimes you can get offers like 49 pounds per night if you stay two nights.
I've never managed to get a room here - it's always been full!
