Rossendale's Badge
Ratwenstall is the "capital" of the district known as Rossendale in east Lancashire.
There are several towns in this district, all of them having a history as mill towns and now trying to capitalise on their history with mill shops, museums and visitor centres.
We drove the entire length of Rossendale and passed through many of these towns - some are in a better state of repair than others and have different things to offer to visitors. The only one of the towns that we actually stopped at was Rawtenstall, because it had something we really wanted to see.

Hi Steven! Fancy to see Rawtenstall page here. A friend used to live there and I visited her several times. I've got photos of the graveyard and terraced houses somewhere. Should build my R:stall page one day!
