Last year we enjoyed a wonderful trip to Austria. We spent one week in the Salzkammergut area and a second week in the Tirol, and made trips from these areas to the cities of Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck.
The Salzkammergut area is quite quiet compared to the Tirol, so if you're a nightlife lover then be sure to stay at one of the larger resorts. We stayed at a small resort and the nightlife was non-existent. In the Tirol it couldn't be more different, with many top-class year-round resorts offering everything you could want. We stayed at Kitzbuhel in the Tirol.
