Manhattan Home to most of the sites that you will want to see if you've never been to NYC, but certainly not the only borough to visit. Start off slowly -- even for native New Yorkers, there isn't possibly enough time to see or do all of the things this city has to offer. Pick a few things to highlight on each trip (hopefully you will be inspired to continue to return to this magnificent city!) so that you are not worn out. The best way to travel is by foot so that you can take in everything there is to see (there is a lot!) and leaves you room to check out the unexpected, which you will surely be presented with along your travels.
