H&M: Inexpensive Fashion in Paris
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Name of Shop: H&M

H&M stores have opened all around the world, and they tend to have around the same clothing selection in each country. H&M offers colorful, fashionable clothing. For pants, it mainly sells skinny jeans and trousers. There is also a wide selection of scarves, hats, bags, and other inexpensive items. I recommend visiting an H&M if you want to try and "fit in" in Paris.

Lastly, they don't just sell women's clothes. (I couldn't find a better category) H&M has clothing options for men, women, teenagers, and children. It also offers both business and casual clothing.

What To Buy: H&M offers very fashionable "European" style clothes. H&M would be a great place to buy a cheap scarf or some skinny jeans. They also have very interesting bags and umbrellas.

What To Pay: Clothes at H&M tend to be cheaper than most other clothing stores of its quality.

Côte à Côte: Interesting Store in the Latin Quarter!

Yet another trendy Parisian store. The staff was so-so, not rude, but not especially friendly. The atmosphere and selection in this store were good, however. The store was not overly crowded, and it was nice and spacious.

What To Buy: I found that this store had an interesting selection of scarves and jewelry. I especially liked the scarves, though they were a little too expensive.

What To Pay: I bought some cute necklaces, which were rather expensive. It follows the Paris trend of having expensive items.

Now that your Paris page is "finished" (in quotes because I'm sure you'll come back at some later time and love the city) I've just had a look at your new tips since Sept. 26, 2008. Good work! I also use a Canon Powershot camera and it works fine.

Most excellent rant.... I am sure my daughters (one named Alyssa) felt the same way when I first dragged them to Paris. but now they love it. Happy travels, Karl

It's too bad you didn't enjoy Paris. Definitely give it another try, but with more time and less structure. Your member name is really creative and funny, though!
