The greatest U.S. city - welcome to D.C.

by czechguy - last update: Jul 30, 2007

Cosmopolitan capital of the world

Independence day 2006 CZ+SK lifeguards
When in D.C. I always have this strange feeling that this is actually center of the world concerning today's and tomorrow's political decisions being made here.
I am not gonna give lectures about D.C. history or sights but just how I FEEL about this place.
Everyone who makes it here knows about the city enough anyway, so it would just be a waste of time.
D.C's beltway traffic buildin' up

American Indian Museum

Everyone being in D.C. should visit the Mall which is the biggest concentration of museums in the world.
But you should particulary not miss the quite new museum dedicated to cultures before europeans came on this continent.
I have been to many museums around the world and in my opinion this museum gives an example how the museums should look like in the future.
( Hope the one in Giza will be at least the same quallity - if not the egyptians have learned nothin' )
It is simply perfect.
I was amazed when I was walking in one corridor of the museum and heard different languages when moving.

The party time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

D.C. and some areas of Baltimore have very good selection of places to go and meet some local girls n'stuff.
Everyone heard about Coyote Ugly, well it ain't one of the biggest but sure the ones who enjoy watchin' girls dancin' on bar and hangin' bras THIS is the place.
As I recall bein' there in 2005 the place had actually three section.
The first floor was the place as everyone knows it, quite small with chicks dancin' on the bar. ( They know their stuff ).
The second floor was a bit more drinkin' place with a billiard table and hispanic music and crowds.
And the third floor was the best one.
Hip hop and rnb music. I was the only white guy there and really enjoy the music and girls dancin'.
It's amazin' what they can do with their butts.
Platinum is quite good as well but at the time we were there in 2006 there was just one big stage.
Be aware everyone having WHITE shoes.
For some reason, if the 300 pounds guards see ya wit WHITE SHOES ya'll pay 10 more bucks.
Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WEll, being from Baltimore, I know what you mean about the center of the world; but that was a long time before your time, and I haven't spent much time there since 1970.........
