Cairo - melting pot of smells, philosophers, cats

Nimruns rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Qitt)

It ain't your seat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you like cats, you are more than welcome to Egypt as it is also egypt's cats capital.
Creatures of all diferent sizes and colours will definitely win your heart.
But travellers be advised, do not try to stroke the one in the best french bookstore in Cairo(she will scratch you or bite ya)
As one of my friends found out.
Trafic is building up - eastern Cairo

Cultural heart of arabic world

Cairo is without doubts the cultural heart of today's arabic world.
Well the truth is Cairo has the world's second oldest university, but probably the second worst undisciplined drivers in the world.
Anyone who spent there couple of weeks certainly agrees.
It is impossible to explain the drivers the use of LIGHTS,the HORN, and the INDICATORS.
Forget it!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and one more thing, usually where there is one traffic line on the road there is ONE car. But again, they won't understand. In Egypt there are one and a half or two cars per line, remember it.
Just next to the beautifull Ibn Tulun mosque

And yet again I am asking why?

Why there is so much mess on the streets,in the shops,in the restaurants,in the museums, everywhere?
I lived for two months in the western Cairo which is one of the best and nicest areas but still it is 100 times more dirty than the dirtyest street in Europe, can anybody explain why?
The truth is that literally every shop owner cleans the front of his shop with a water but then the people throw whatever they have in their hands on the sidewalks.
Isn't it the answer?
I do not know.
