So different from many middle eastern cities | Coming to Amman from west |
Used to seeing dirty cairo streets for almost two months ,getting to 'Amman was really a bit of relief from all the smells and noise and crazyness of cairo.
Arriving there at night i thought i was in arabic quarters of Paris or London.
But there was a difference.

|  | Not just hills but the people make the difference For Amman it is very true.
What striked me most was the fact that local drivers actually followed some rules unlike in Cairo.
Drivers actually know how to drive, use lights during night (fact that most drivers in Cairo do NOT understand) and in most cases each line on road is used by one car (not by TWO cars like in Cairo)
And also there is a sense of cleaness in Amman,unlike in Cairo there are some nice streets in Amman.
You will never see picture like this in Cairo.

| | Taxis have meters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, but unlike in Egypt they use it, so that is good news for everyone and maybe bad news for those who like to bargain 100 times a day about everything.
Insted of bargainin' u can watch the life go by and the streets which ain't bad. |
