I hadn't been to Rome since I was a child over 30 years ago and visited this past Christmas holiday. What a magnificent city! I felt as though I was walking through a dream. The city is packed with history, of course, but its landscape is glorious. The people are full of life, but one gets the feeling that they've had just about enough of tourists.

Want to stay in the most equisite hotel in Rome? This is the place. It is set high above the city on a hillside. The neighborhood is lovely with many condominiums, small shops and restaurants. The food at this hotel was the best we had in the entire city.
