Intro

Well, this is where I was born. A little town just about an hour west of Berlin in a lovely landscape called "Havelland". There are lots of lakes, rivers and forests and it's all quite picturesque. Unfortunately or maybe it's a good thing actually it's not heavily promoted as a tourist area.

Population is around 26000 now. It's gone down a lot since the wall came down, mainly because there are hardly any jobs in this area. So, I had to leave really.

Too bad there aren't enough jobs in Rathenow, because otherwise it looks really nice. I'm glad to hear they’ve built lots of cycle paths.
