A pretty casino entrance. There are about 5 primary ones and they are all okay, but not ostentatious like Vegas; just salt of the earth types trying to survive. The feeling is more quite and less pressuring to spend your money-even though that is why they want you here.
If you came for other tourist type things to do, you may have to look hard. There is an automobile museum, a Methodist Church; that is all. WE had a good time going into the casinos and eating there, hopefully free if yo gamble enough and lose or risk sufficient to get a meal.
The Truckee River runs through the town. The first bridge was built over the river in late 1800's. Not until 1990's did Reno became more reknowned due to the gambling. The river walk was then built and local retailers loved the idea.
- Pros:It is a slower pace for the main attraction, gambling
- Cons:Some may think that it is too slow for them here
- In a nutshell:It can get cold in the winter-but overall good place

Lovely church! Reno is a very unique city indeed. Neat page!
Bruce, do not like casinos, however we will make it ito the large one, Las Vagus as it is a tourist must see.
