Doe's Market: Eat Like as in Deer

The food here is good and basic steak place. This one we did not eat in, but know the tradition

Ed Walker's: Drive Inn and CAr SErvice

It seemed pretty good. The real reason for stopping here is to drive up, and either turn on lights for service at the car, or walk in, or just shout. Looks like it has been here 40-50 years, and nothing has changed.

Favorite Dish: Ham & cheese is what I had, so I guess this is example of the fare. It was good and like made back form the 1960's. The other menu items seemed like of interest, like chicken fried steak, fried pickles, etc.

Rolando's: Cuban is Coming back

It really was more like Mexican food rather than Cuban flavors. Yes, I know what Cuban is like; I was close many time when in Puerto Rico. NO pork with the hairs still on the skin. This was simply a southern style Mex restaurant being promoted as something else. Maybe we can now get to Cuba, but local flavor has a way to go.

Favorite Dish: Had a chicken enchilada burrito. It was okay and had some different toppings, like green chile base, but still Mexican flavor. Micky-companion had a pork wrap, and it was just okay-nothing to brag about. The marinated onions were good as side item and the black beans/rice of course. Basic items were $8-10 for lunch.

Ming Garden: Chinese is Plentiful and Cheap

Overall it was a fairly good place to eat. Food was fresh and the receptionist was authentic in that she did not speak much English. I think some of the locals get their fix here in a "BIG" way because of the quantity' even beat me for out for plates consumed.

Favorite Dish: The buffet had the full compliment of Chinese items to sample, appetizers, staple basics of pork, beef, and chicken, and some good fried rice. Desserts were there also. Price of buffet was $6.95. It is somewhat small, and maybe one of few in town of Chinese
