Volcanos gave the islands a lift for good pictures

Bay at St. Thomas
The climate is lovely except for hurricane season. Stay away then, which is in the fall. The various islands each hold a unique character, and tied to the founding of provinces of the colonial era by the European czars back then. There is still of lot of local environment in the back areas, outside of tourism, and that sometime is hard for the islands to control. Poverty is rampart is most areas yet.
An overgrowth of banana trees

The greenery if plush

The foilage is beautiful and lush for most islands. Sugar cane and bananas are grown on a number of islands.
A shopping boardwalk

Locals sell goods-many t-shirts

Tourist shops are a lot of places; obviously they are waiting for you to buy something. A lot is not of quality I would want, ever. The locals seem to want their own life without tourists gawking and meandering around. However, the revenue it brings is overpowering personal feelings. Overall, it probably does help the trade and commerce for the people.

Pros:"Nice new sites to see and greenery"
Cons:"A lot of places are dirty and with poor culture"
In A Nutshell:"Feel like not welcome in most islands"
