"Too many tourists- retail stores ruined the beauty" Prague by BruceDunning

Looking back down Wenceslas Square-really a street-this was packed with peopel, some local and some out of towners. Since this trip was in October, I can only imagine the foot traffic on a hot day in summer. Shops are along both sides, and vendors have seet up little booths to sell food, and trinket stuff.
This is not my most pleasure experience.
On the biridge, people are nearly shoulder to shoulder. It is difficult to get a decent photo shot of the bridge, or statues.
The walk into the little shops on this lane was fun. Again, in summer, I am positive it is most difficult to walk in the lane, let alone the shops.
- Pros:Still some pretty buildings to search out
- Cons:Way toooo many people and glitter retail shops
- In a nutshell:Would only go once-too much hype to sell stuff

In have re visited Prague lately.
Ciao!
Agree with you on the touristy aspect of Prague! We diod our sight seeing early hours of the morning to avoid the maddening crowds!
Lovely Prague travel page with excellent photographs. Your page certainly brings back fond memories of our trip to that city several years ago. Charles Bridge and Prague Castle were our favourite attractions in the city. ~ho & pang
looks really very cloudy onto your photos. in any way, the city is very beautiful and is one of the most favorite on my travel list
Visited Prague in the nineties and we were quite enthusiast. We had planned to return but from what I read from you and others we would be deceived. Tourism kills tourism. Nice to read that gril Seminaristy remains good. We liked the place.
I am much tempted to visit Prague but, as you stress it, it is so touristy that I have not done it! Mind of Dubrovnik, when a cruise boat arrives, that is terrible too! Beautiful photos of Prague!
I love visiting this lovely city. I must admit though that it gets more crowded every time ;-)
Hi, Bruce! I would like to revisit Prague soon!....
Interesting look at Prague. The Cathedrals look stunning, and how true it is that the shops in the next street are often cheaper and nicer!
Nice look at Prague. I agree it can be quite crowded, especially in the afternoon. We're glad we saw it, but a day and a half was enough for us.
