The main draw to Vegas area is Hoover DAm. It is quite a masterpiece of work,. and does help the locals get daily water, as well as serve others down stream. This is a bone of contention because water is running dry out here.
The dam tour is well worth it and the drive to get here pleasant in going through the old town housing the workers.

Chocolate is king here

The tour of the chocolate factory is nice and you get samples. The name is of fame in the west and very good chocolate. The desert gardens in the rear are a very good tour and holds a number of cactus varieties, all living even.

Elko in the north is for lower end way to go

YOu can get a lower price trip and gamble at Elko. It is a smaller area that serves many locals up at the north end of the State, but also treks in gamblers on junkets. For the pleasure of the are, we went here 3 times, and saw a lot of the town, old but quaint, as if going back 50 years.

• Cons:it is hot and dry and Vegas if for the tourists
• In a nutshell:There are more favored spots in the State other than Vegas
