A large number of tourists arrive here annually; like 6 million, so it goes without saying the airport could get crowded in peak tourist season. It also is a stop off connection to many places in Europe which adds to the traffic. Shops inside are very upscale looking and all are duty free, and well publicized.

Cruise ship Dock a Lot By Sea Review

Cruise ships make this a spot to stop off for the day, or more. It contributes to the crowds that mas in the old town area. With maybe an average of 4,000-6,000 passengers in town for the day, it fills up the sites to see and restaurants are packed. We had that special experience in La Seu where maybe 1,000 people were there viewing at the same time

Horse Carriage Rides

The rides on a carriage are not much to take in. They do not go down the narrow streets, obviously, so need to stay on the main route and avoid all those tourists strolling by. Cost for 1/2 hour ride is 30 Euro, and most likely not worth the venture, in my opinion.
