Colosseum with pltform over underground settting
The Colosseum is obviously the most inconic landmark for the city. It is overwhelming to walk into and around to get the feel for the sheer magnitude that once held 60,000 patrons, now about 5,000 tourists daily

I agree about too many people crammed in...But I have a tip on my page about how to avoid being crushed by a wave of humanity in the Sistine Chapel.

Lovely Rome page! Colosseum, Pantheon, Spanish Steps and Vittoriano were also our favourite tourist attractions. Bring back fond memories of our trip to that city several years ago. ~ho & pang

Interesting and informative Rome page. The architecture is magnificent- love the Spanish Steps. Nice photographs.
