I've been to Lloret twice. First time in 2002 and then again in 2005. Having been once, I liked the proximity to Barcelona and at the same time the absence of the rail tracks by the beach. When I was planning my second trip to Spain, I looked at a lot of other towns in the Costa Brava/Costa Daurade areas but they were all either too far, too small, not fun enough or what not. So I came back to LLoret and totally didn't regret it. Even though life is too short, I am planning on visiting again.
