If you're looking for accomodation with no frills but a great location, then this is the place for you. The staff on the desk were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The maid doesn't come in everyday but that's a blessing in itself! The loaction is perfect, within a short walk to shops, the beach and all amenities. I would definitely recommend this hotel to those on a budget. Remember though, it really is no frills and is just very basic. On saying that though, you do get a small kitchenette in your room with cooker, fridge and sink. This is great for keeping eating costs down too. A really great place to stay!

Unique Qualities: It does have a small pool in an enclosed area. The hotel has a real community spirit to it too. I had a room at the front (which was a little noisey) but the staff on the desk allowed me to move to another room without any problem.

Initially, my experience with this hotel was terrible. This was because the travel company I had used had make a huge mistake and not booked a room for my stay, then when I arrived at the hotel I was told there were no rooms! The member of staff (Greg) was truly awful and left me in tears as he told me to "Sleep on the beach as it would be more fun"! Just to explain....I was a lone female from England in Oahu to see to U2 concert. Anyway, I was lucky enough to grab a room at the Hyatt for three nights and then went back to the Outrigger and asked to speak to the manager. Amazingly, she offered me a delux ocean view room for the remainder of my stay and apologised for the treatment I got from Greg.

Unique Qualities: The deluxe room really was beautiful, it also had a jacuzzi which you could sit in whilst you looked out across the ocean! The room was quite small but the quality made up for this so it was no big deal.
