In Sydney you do not have to tip after a meal. However, the general rule is 10% if you are happy with your food and service. You can tip larger amounts if I feel the service was above standard.

The same goes with Taxi's - you do not have to tip, but the general rule is to round up:Cab ride $37.85 I would give $40.00.

I was told by someone from Sydney that we should not tip and get them used to it or else they might start expecting it from the locals as well as tourists.
