We visited Sydney in October which is their Sprintime. During this time there are alot of flies and gnats. We were swarmed at many occasions by these pesky insects. So many people were seen swatting flies away it looked like they were all waving hello. Try to avoid any sweet smelling perfumes, hair products or soaps in order to keep them away. Insect repellent couldn't hurt either.

The best way to get local currency is to use your ATM card. The rates are better than at those"touristy" exchange places. There are plenty of ATM machines all over Sydney and at the airport when you arrive.

Pay attention to warning signs. It's for your own personal safety. Just because you are on vacation doesn't mean that safety shouldn't be a priority.

Sydney is such a fabulous city. It's so clean and the people are so friendly. Everything is beautiful from the Opera House to the ferries. The restaurants are great and the shops are wonderful. I din't want to leave but I'll be back very soon!
