Restaurant Name: Giovanni's
Great Pizza. There Pizza's are named after Zodiac signs. We had the Libra pizza, tomato, olive, oregano and cheese. It was on;y fitting to choose the "Libra" since it was my sign and we were in Sydney for my B-day.
Favorite Dish: The Libra Pizza was delicious.

Restaurant Name: Fratelli Paradiso
The restaurant is a nice size but very dimly lit. The menu is written(in Italian, but they will translate for non-Italians) on a chalkboard wall and changes about every two days (we ate here twice so we know it first hand). they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you plan on having dinner; go before six when the crowd piles in. If you want an after 6pm meal make sure to call for a reservation. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent.
Favorite Dish: Our first dinner here I had the Gnocchi with veal and Chris has the lasagnetta. Both our meals left us very warm and satisfied. They serve beautiful little rolls with olive oil on the side for dipping. Our second dinner her I had the risotto pomodora with marscapone, which was absolute heaven. Chris had the tagliatelle with veal. The portions are perfect; you are not left feeling hungry.

Restaurant Name: Yellow Bistro & Food Store
The restauarant is cozy and inviting. The staff is very friendly and eager to answer your questions on why there food is soooooo good. The food store/bakery is a pastry lovers heaven. You must go try Yellow for yourself!
Favorite Dish: We ate two meals here and had dessert almost every night from Yellow. Our first meal at Yellow: Their gnocchi with brown butter sauce is to die for. It comes smothered with roasted tomatoes and pine nuts. On the side are stuffed zuccini blossoms oozing with ricotta. Chris had the fried cod filets with chips and was very happy to clean his plate. We took home a truffle cookie which was out of this world. Our second meal at Yellow: I couln't help but have the gnocchi again!!!! Chris had fusilli with chilli shrimp. He was very pleased with his meal. We took home a rhubard tart and a cream puff for dessert. Both desserts were outrageously yummy. We also had tiramisu, arpricot tart and cheesecake from yellow. This place can do no wrong. Everthing we had was outregeously good.

Restaurant Name: Orient Hotel
Nice location in the Rocks, situated on a corner. Bright and sunny with lots of windows. Lots of seating in the bar areas. There is a beer garden so you can drink outside and enjoy the great weather. There is a bistro on the first floor and a nightclub on the top floor. Overall it was a very relaxed and comfy atmosphere. On Mondays and Tuesdays they advertise any food from the bar menu is only$10. It was a nice selection of typical bar food; fish & chips, salads, burgers, etc.
Favorite Dish: We found ourselves here a couple of times to have a beer and relax between sightseeing. There was a nice crowd of people, no one was rowdy even when the big sporting events were on (Rugby and horse racing).

Restaurant Name: Harry's Cafe de Wheels - Pies
Cute little meal on the go type of place, sort of an oversized hot dog street vendor. Grab a hot dog or pie and have a seat on a bench.
Favorite Dish: I had the hot dog which was very good and way too big for me to finish. Chris had a curry pie which he obviously enjoyed because he ate it all.

Restaurant Name: Lindt Chocolate Cafe
The store itself it a chocolate lovers heaven. Display cases full of chocolates, ice cream and various chocolate themed desserts. The have a menu with food and drinks as well. You can eat at a table inside the shop or eat at an outdoor table. The ice cream was so good we kept coming back for more...we even had it twice in one day!
Favorite Dish: The Excellence 70% ice cream is heavenly. I had it on a cone numerous times. They put a liquid chocolate in the bottom of the cone so you have a gooey surprise at the end of your dessert. Chris had the white chocolate ice cream on a cone and was as enraptured as I was with my dessert.

Restaurant Name: La Renaissance Cafe Patisserie
Reminiscent of a Paris Patisserie with all the delicious items to boot. There is a large assortment of cakes, pies, tarts, quiches, breads, custards and beverages. The cakes are so beautifully decorated it seems a shame to eat them; they look like a work of art. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. Pick your dessert out and have a seat at one of the tables in their courtyard. If you want a beverage it is brought to you by a waiter.
Favorite Dish: We visited a couple of times. I always had the creme brulee. It was hard not to be tempted by the other items but creme brulee is my all time favorite dessert. It was so delicous and creamy. Chris had an almond filled meringue the first time we went and then a raspberry mousse cake twice after. I can't wait to visit again and have more!

Restaurant Name: Pancakes on the Rocks
Located in the Rocks of course....the name gives it away. Lots of tables and a relaxed atmosphere. The service was excellent and quick. The variety of pancakes was amazing. I never knew there could be so many tasty flavor combinations.
Favorite Dish: We visited here twice. The first time I had The Cinnamon Apple Struessel Pancakes. It was topped with cinnamon sugar, apples, raisins, vanilla ice cream and a heavy cream sauce. They were so delicious; I ate the whole thing! Chris had the Strawberry Patch. It was loaded with strawberries and strawberry sauce. It was also topped with vanilla ice cream and the heavy cream sauce. Needless to say he cleaned his plate as well. The second time it was for my Birthday breakfast. This time I had a regular stack of pancakes that were topped with powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream and maple syrup. They were so yummy! I had a hot chocolate that was heavnly with a delicious marshmellow. Chris had the Bananarama; grilled bananas, vanilla ice cream, cream sauce and butterscotch syrup. Another delicious breakfast that we both happily finished. If you ever go to Sydney this place is not to be missed!

Restaurant Name: Baia San Marco
Cozy restaurant in Cockle Bay Wharf. You can sit indoors or at a table on the terrace (they have nice heating lamps outside to keep you warm). Nice menu with a varity of specialty pizza, pasta, beef, fish and poultry.
Favorite Dish: We happened to be walking in Cockle Bay Wharf and decided to grab a light bite. We had the pizza with eggplant, pepperoni and peppers. It was so delicious and hit the spot.
