From the time I was a little girl, I dreamed of visiting Paris. I would go to the library and browse through any book I could find about this beautiful city. I would gaze at pictures of APris monuments and streets for hours at a time. I knew as soon as I could, I would find my way to Paris.
When I was sixteen I embarked on my first adventure to France. My journey started in Paris. The moment I saw this beautiful city with my own eyes I was in love. The streets, the buildings, the art, the food was all heaven to me. I spent a beautiful week and a half enjoying the spendor of this magnificent city. I believe that Paris and that visit to other parts of France transfigured me. It was a life changing moment in my life. |

| | What Kind of Name is Fred? I think Paris is one of the most romantic cities in the world. How can you not be in love or fall in love with this wonderful city. I can see how one could easily fall in love here or long for the one you love who is at home. I found myself longing for my Christopher on my Paris trip with my Mother. We wuill visit together someday and have our own Paris memories together.
On my first visit to Paris I had my own admirer "Fred". He was a strange French guy who had a flat across from our hotel. He would call out to us from his balcony trying to becon us to his place for coffee. We would hear this every night:"OOOOH American Girls, it is Fred..I see you are there. Come visit Fred...pretty girls.". It was hysterical and we found him rather amusing yet creepy. |
You always feel fabulous in Paris! How can you not feel fabulous in Paris? The culture, the sights, the flavor, the smell, the people, are amazing. Paris is a place where you feel anything is possible and that dreams can come true. Being with my mother in Paris was a wonderful experience for the both of us. I had always wanted to show her this lovely city and she always wanted to see it. It made wonderful memories for the both of us to hold on to for the rest of our lives.
You can't escape the past in Paris, and yet what's so wonderful about it is that the past and present intermingle so intangibly that it doesn't seem to burden. - Allen Ginsberg | | |
