this is the only place to stay in Zagora. I returned after 3 years and was amazed to be remembered and greeted warmly, even being placed in my old room was just amazing
the sevice was outstanding and staff would take me out to the shops and accompanied me to the bus station at the end of my stay
tame peacocks wander freely through te immaculate gardens, also in the garden are berber tents so this hotel will suit all budgets,
all the rooms are very clean as is the whole hotel with the kitchen on view, hot water plentiful and both kinds of toilet available for the less ell travelled
Unique Qualities: Ali the owner now has his own camels and absolutely fantastic guides. I arranged a great trek with Mohammed who was a great cook a great camel driver and a good command of english, I had an impromptu lesson in Arabic and also he taught me a bit about natural desert medicine
Ali blandi does not stint on food water or quality of anything, if it is not perfect he simply will not accept. A very Honourable kind and likable man who inspires trust on first meeting.
when you first arrive at Zagora ther is the usual scrum for your buisness and some unscrupulous touts will tell you they are Ali Blandi's brother or even worse they will tell you that he died.
If you are at all nervous about this kind of travel, I can asuure you That you will be safe with Mr Ali and his staff. a CTM bus will go from Marrakesh and Ali is a 5 min walk from the station in Zagora
