very impressive place,people,history & if they hang in ther a "FUTURE", THATS WILL BRING BACK THEIR FAME & PAST!..well i didnt stay much in the city, me & lebanese friend hit it directly to the natural landmarks n' outskirts like beit mary, harissa, aalyah, hamdoun etc..that have heard so much abt!!..its a great feelings as we took these so called "service taxi" from one point to another, and that trip towards the top of harissa, just felt like have never before..the view from top was awesome and well no i didnt take the teleferic cable ride down...this is a spot if u come to lebanon one must not miss..i gurantee u that!

this place is abt 1 hour or so on a hill, like i guess most of lebanon's landscape is..fairly cool weather here, and i was ther in this summer august. the street is filled with hotels, resturants, cafes,family store,high-end stores..just a great atmosphere & ambience to chill out!!...the view is just like every view from these hill top towns..'AWESOME"...a must see place & even one could stay here for 2 nights or so....

overall my trip was great..i attend a typical lebanese wedding of a friend, and explored for 3 nights..though would wana stay longer and didnt manage to see the rest of this beautiful country..all the more reason to come back again probly for 2 weeks or so..

juts a few tips well money-wise carry us$ or libanese lyra both come in handy!..also always bargain when buying stuff..try and use the "service mode taxi" otherwise u will get ripped off, like i realised sooner!..try and ask the local people on whereabts is safe & places to see, u will get a right info for resturants,bars,pubs, historical landmarks and any general info, as long u stay aways from south lebanon...also try and buy one those cash card mobile phones comes in handy its for abt us 30-40$..Lebanon's got great people,food,scenic stuff to do,beaches if thats ur thing...definately coming back!!
