One saturday morning we woke up decided to go to Assisi. I was very excited about it, and the day seemed really promising. We had even found free legal parking right outside Termini station! It seemed to be our lucky day, hadn't we been late 10 minutes for the train that had already left when we got to the ticket office... The nice assistant suggested us Tivoli instead. I had wanted to go there, but I had already made my mind for Assisi that day, so I wasn't so satisfied when we got back to our car and headed towards this little village. |

It turned out to be an awesome day! We first visited Villa Adriana, which is enormous and so interesting. We spent there quite some time, and we had to jump some things, because at one point it was just too much ruins and we were starting to get tired and late for visiting the other Tivoli attraction... |

Villa d'Este. This one is much more little than the first, and the visit is easier and more pleasant, because there are a lot of shadows and a lot of water! These amazing gardens are perfect to walk around slowly, enjoying the various shapes of the water and stopping here and there to rest and appreciate it for a while.
