Fake products

before buying anything like bottled water, liquor, medicine etc. in India, one should ensure that they are not buying the fake stuff. Please see the spelling of the name closely if you already know the name, check the lid for any opening, expiry dates etc.

Foodstalls on roadside

I don't think I need to warn anybody about it but even then I would like to put this in black and white. Roadside foodstalls should be avoided as far as possible. They are mostly Ok for the Indian stomach and I can say so being a great fan of fast food with no history of any food infection ever, except once in Germany (funny, I know).

that's only for ladies

this is for the male travellers wishing to board local trains for cheaper commutation. Before getting into a compartment, please see if this is a ladies compartment, every train has one. You will be mocked and abused and even stand a chance of being thrown out.

Dead animals on roads

If you are visiting India, there are not one but hundreds of warnings and dangers but that should not stop you from coming to this amazing country. Once you have been here, you are a more mature and enlightened traveller. Here's one warning. While walking on roads, please look below. You might step on dead animals that have been run over by speeding vehicles.
